Where is the best place to have a destination wedding?

I would love to have it in Hawaii in September 2010, but a lot of my family is complaining of the cost. Is there a cheaper destination wedding with the same elegance of Hawaii? Suggestions?

Sure, you can definitely go to the Caribbean! Sandals resorts, Almond resorts, Secrets resorts, and most all-inclusive resorts offer wedding packages at reasonable prices. Martha Stewart even has a partnership with Sandals these days to upgrade the decor/menu of your wedding! Since you said “elegance,” I’m guessing you don’t want to go to Vegas…although that is an option! Next time you’re in the bookstore, look in the magazines section–there are magazines devoted to destination weddings! You can get great ideas there. Another thing to consider is getting married in the USA, but somewhere like Florida, Maine, or Colorado, that has a “destination” feel without the cost of Hawaii! You can get married in a variety of settings depending on your preference!
