I had a Disney theme. It was Mickey and Mini everything, I had the cake topper, napkins, invitations, etc. You could look online at some wedding web sites. They have a ton of really neat ideas. Plus a lot of cost saving tips. Thank goodness for the internet.

    Hollywood theme
    Western
    Sports
    Disney
    Garden

PS/ You don’t have to have a theme

What’s wrong with the traditional white everything with maybe some hearts and birdies? Call me old fashioned, but I enjoy weddings more when they are just plain weddings, and not fantasy pageants based on films, fairy tales, or historical eras. There are already plenty of Roaring Twenties, Big Band, Nifty Fifties, and Disco Forever parties at the Moose and Elks Lodges.

What do you like? The size of the wedding doesn’t have anything to do with the theme.

For spring/summer I love doing the “Perfect Pair” weddings, especially if the couple is on a budget since you can decorate with real pears in lieu of expensive flowers but still look elegant.

When you are going with your theme the only key is to just make sure you don’t over do it or it will look cheesy or like a kid’s birthday party instead of a wedding. What I mean is, if you choose hearts as a theme (pretty overdone but people still love them and it’s classic) don’t feel like you need to plaster hearts on everything! One or two key places keeps it still elegant instead of looking like Cupid just hurled.

Well, it’s not even necessary to have a theme unless you really want to. A good color scheme is just fine! But if you have your heart set on a theme, any of them will do….it doesn’t really matter the size of the wedding.

I wouldnt worry about having one at all. I like a plain, white wedding. Classic and pretty

My daughter had a “Precious Moments” themed wedding. You can buy decorations, unity candles, figurines, cake server, invitations, thank you cards, programs, etc. Just about anything you need for a wedding you can find in Precious Moments. We actually bought almost everything from e-bay. Saved a LOT of money!!! She used the colors, which were pastel pinks, lavendars and creams. Everything looked so pretty. Good luck and best wishes with your upcoming wedding!!

I had my engagement party at a restaurant and wished my wedding was as small and intimate. But you realy don’t have to have a theme, maybe because it’s the spring you may want that as your theme. Spring and blooms, cherry blossoms…it’s the beginning of a new life.

I don’t think a ‘theme’ is necessary. The theme is wedding.

p.s. I hope your adoptive parents are part of the event. They love you too.

Our theme was loves of the past. We got a photo from everyone that has been married and placed it as our center pieces with candles and heart confetti. Then we did everything with the two shall be come one to compliment the theme. It was a way to share our day with others without making it less special for us. Because lord knows everyone seeks advice from others who are married. They have helped us in our journey and it was just a way to show our love back. Since everyone comes to the wedding and says to their partners, Remember our wedding. Just a suggestion. Good luck and God Bless. And remember, it will all come together the second you take your first step to the wonderful years with your husband.

It’s a wedding… that IS the theme!!! What’s with people thinking they have to have a theme for the wedding? Themes are for children’s birthday parties, proms and… ummmm… well, that’s about it. NOT weddings.
