haha, those are lovely color combinations minus the blue, depending on the shade of blue. Maybe like periwinkle would be pretty. Keep in mind your tastes will change by the time your groom comes along(maybe) and he’s gotta have some say in it too!

you’re silly. :) but just FYI…it’s best to stay with only 2 colors for a wedding theme. Most women who get married don’t do that, but it looks quite tacky. And it’s best for a Winter wedding to go with Antique White or Ivory, instead of White. Good luck finding your groom…he’s out there somewhere.

i wanted a giant ball gown, big church, and emerald green and black wedding in december… now that I’m actually getting married in NOVEMBER in jamaica on the beach, and my colors are cream and blue, i realized how much time i wasted dreaming. when you get there you will figure out whats right for the both of you… what if he refuses to wear the colors you want & wants a summer wedding? don’t forget the wedding will be a big day in your one day fiances life also. this doesn’t mean don’t keep a folder of thing you like, it means don’t have your heart set on the whole thing already being planned when he proposes…whats the fun in that?

My colors were violet and ivory. Everyone said it looked very pretty; afterwards I notice that the reception place (which was new when I got married) started doing lots of weddings in those colors, so I guess I set a trend!

I think those are more suited to a spring/early summer wedding though.

For winter, I think Christmas colors in red, green and white with holly, pine trees and evergreen decorations would look wonderful.

You could have the menu with traditional Christmas foods like roast turkey and plum pudding.

I saw a Christmas-tide wedding with the bridesmaids in green and white velvet coats like old fashioned coachmen’s coats and it looked great.

My wedding date is either going to be Oct. 31 (halloween of this year) or Dec. 21 (My religions form of Christmas). im having a courthouse wedding with 3 guests and with a reception at our house.

If the 31st its going to be black on black with silver. the 21st its going to be Black and Royal Blue with ice blue and silver (my Fav colors)

Keep dreaming and when your day comes you will know what you want. Usually the groom is pretty passive about the colors as long as they’re not off the wall colors. It will be a beautiful wedding, just be careful how you incorporate the colors. Violet is a hard color to match sometimes so maybe let it be just an accent color. Plan everything you’d like to have and then once you and your groom have set the date you can go through it with him and see how he feels about your ideas.
