How much (roughly) does a destination wedding cost?

I am thinking of having a destination wedding….it can be Vegas or somewhere in the Caribbean. How much would a destination wedding cost for about 30 people?

i looked at a wedding in cyprus for close friends and family (20-30) and we were given £5000 all in

i would say that vegas and the carribean would be more, but my friends got married in jamaica last year and that cost them close to 7k, that was including hotel for stay, ceremony and small beach reception, flights and paying for all friends and family, so not bad really!

A destination wedding can fit almost any budget.

I’m having my destination wedding in the Florida Keys with about 50-60 guests. We’re using a private estate as the wedding location and it will provide lodging for 25 of us. If I were to cut my guest list to 30, I would only save a few thousand dollars (food and booze) and my total budget is no more than $20,000.

I do think I could have pulled off a destination wedding for $10,000. I could also easily spend $50,000. Its really all a matter of what you have to spend. I know someone who had a wedding in Mexico with 20 people and only spent $6,000 total. I know someone else who had a wedding in the Outer Banks of NC and spent $40,000.

It all depends on what you are expecting. If you are only paying for a ceremony, and reception and of course your flights and hotel stay than you can do it for around $15,000 or less. If you are picking up the tab for anything other than what pertains to the ceremony and reception, it’ll cost alot more.

Hi! I’m puertorrican living in the Island and I’m planning my beach wedding too. What I know is what I have research for my own, I’m not a proffesional or anything (althought I might end up been one by the end of this, hehe). First, it will depend on how casual or elegant you want it to be.

The most elegant (and expensive) scenarios are chain hotels like the “CourtYard Marriott” or S”an Juan Hotel and Casino” which are close to the San Juan International airport, in the capital of the Island. This ones can go for aprox. $90.00 per person. You can also consider Hotels form Dorado, which is a beach front town like 40mins west from the airport, or Fajardo like 40mins east. You can also tried hotel restaurants or beach front restaurants at Isla Verde and Condado (also in San Juan, few minutes from the airport). For example, restaurant “La Plague” is beautiful, has a terrace with an amazing view, and goes for $60.00 per person. The more economic ones are far from the metropolitan area. I’m considering a beach front restaurant called “Salitre el Meson Costero” that has a wood terrace in front of a ocean view and go for $35 aprox. per person + $400 for using the terrace, if it is on a weekend, althought I don’t think it will accomodate more than 150 guests.

Take in consideration that this cost most of the time includes the beach ceremony, food, none alcoholic beverages, cake cutting fee, tables and chairs. You have to add 20% for service and 7%tax+ some more for an open bar, then the cake, music, decor, etc. Considering the surroundings, just some nice centerpieces, a few candles and done!

Visit some hotel and restaurants websites. Some of them have their wedding packages with the menus and prices.
Well, I hope this helps! (Sorry for any grammar errors ;-)
