Wonderful Winter Theme Weddings

Who says that the wedding of your dreams requires a sleeveless dress and air-conditioning? A beautiful winter theme wedding can be breath-taking, cozy, and come with a lot of financial benefits! What are you waiting for? Start planning your wonderful winter-themed wedding!

When selecting decorations, choose décor that is ‘warm’ and inviting for your guests. Colors play a very important role in a winter wedding. In order to pull off a successful wedding with a comfortable appeal, steer clear of bright colors that are ‘summery.’ Try warm tones.

Colors like purple, terra-cotta, forest-green, ruby, and navy look excellent with the glow of candlelight. They can add a special ambiance and warmth to any reception site. Winter weddings provide the perfect opportunity to have an ‘elegant’ wedding with such rich colors.

Accessories are just as important as color if you’ve selected ‘winter’ as your wedding theme. Centerpieces can come in the form of frosted glass bowls filled with cinnamon scented pine-cones. Glittery snow-flakes can be hung from the ceiling. Holly-branches with berries can also add a lavish touch to your decorations.

Instead of ‘summery’ plants, poinsettias, roses, lilies and red ribbons can cover the place of reception. Unfortunately, sprint/summer bouquets may not be readily available from your local florist, so any other flowers (other than those mentioned) can be costly during the winter months.

Still looking for a place to hold your wonderful winter themed wedding? How about a bread and breakfast, or a quaint little cottage? Imagine your guests warming themselves in front of a toasty fire, smiling with a mug of hot chocolate in hand. A breath-taking view of a frozen pond and small friendly wildlife will add just the right touch of relaxation. While snow-covered landscapes may not sound appealing to everyone- think of how fun a sleigh ride and an afternoon of skiing can be.

Worried about what wedding favors to give as a token from your winter themed wedding? Spiced teas, scented candles, personalized mugs, Christmas ornaments with the wedding date imprinted upon them, personalized snow globes with a photograph inside, there are so many items to choose from!

Instead of having a ordinary catered meal, try creating a unique dinner menu. As everyone from your family to share a traditional family recipe, submit some of these recipes to your caterer and have a wonderful meal that everyone will enjoy! The idea is let everyone have some (possibly, well-needed) R&R as they celebrate your festivities.

Should we have a wedding registry if we are having a destination wedding?

My fiance and I are planning on getting married in 2008 in Jamaica. We have extended the offer for all our friends and family to come but realize that many people will not be able to come. We plan on having a celebration once we return, maybe a month later. I know it is customary to register at places for traditional weddings and receptions. I was just wondering if it would be tacky if we did register at some places. If anyone has any advice please let me know.
PS – I also posted another question concerning my destination wedding plans and received a very rude response. I know people may not agree with my decision to have a destination wedding and stuff but if you dont agree just please dont be rude about it!

You wedding ceremony can be a fantastic with a well-designed fairy wedding theme

Lighting plays a significant role in making a fairy effect. Use low lighting and things which can twinkle. You can produce the effect with light garlands entwined with tulle fabric and sinamay mesh. Many candles can create glittering light effect and convey fancy and romantic messages. Of course, you should prepare enough lights in order to have the guests in the party feel good. By choosing a lot of inexpensive sparkling lights from a local or online lighting store, or from a wholesale lights business runner the wedding sponsor can highlight the essential elements of the party and create more surprise to the party.

Apart from the style of wedding dresses, A proper color scheme is another essential part of your wedding ceremony. Some colors might not be able to compliment everyone’s skin tone. Thus it is advisable to choose a suitable tone that is able to smarten up everyone. A color scheme presents as a tonal scheme, complementary colors or harmonious colors. A tonal scheme means a color is used in various tones(different tones of white for example). The harmonious colors are the colors that are close to each other. For instance, pink, red, and purple are harmonious colors. Complementary colors are opposite colors. For instance: pink and yellowy green, purple and yellow. Silver and blue are used in many parties. You can be creative to use them in your wedding ceremony.

Customarily, fairytale theme in a wedding is related to a lot of flowers, either find their ways in wedding dresses or in other items at weddings. Check with the flower store or flower wholesale business runnersto confirm what types of flowers are sold in the season of your wedding. If the wedding color theme is blue and silver, white and blue flowers are a great choice.

A gorgeous fairytale wedding ceremony can be a very big present for both the bride and bridegroom. Make good use of your instincts and take your time to choose that special wedding theme for the big day of your life.

Medieval Themed Weddings

Every couple’s wedding fantasy is different. Some like modern design, others prefer mid-century elegance, and others like to reach a little farther back into history for their ideas. For a romantic and unique wedding style, consider hosting a Medieval themed wedding.

Set the tone for your wedding by sending invitations made of heavy parchment. You may even want to use old English inspired wording, and you will certainly want a flourish of calligraphy. This is a great way to let your guests know that your wedding will be something beyond the typical event. You may even wish to request that your guests come attired in period garb to enhance the atmosphere of your Medieval wedding.

Speaking of attire, the bride’s gown will really be the one element that makes the Medieval theme clear. Brides in those days did not wear white gowns. Blue was a favored color, as it represented fidelity. Other popular colors included rich wine, gold and silver. The metallics were often used as embroidered accents. Appropriate fabrics would be heavy silks or velvet. Medieval gowns should have fitted bodices that meet full skirts. A basque (v shaped) waist would give your gown a great period look, as would long flowing sleeves.

Medieval dresses are also known for their beautiful open necklines. A square neck would be an especially attractive choice. The open necklines are fun, because they are the perfect showcase for unique handcrafted bridal jewelry. In Medieval times, precious stones had symbolic meanings, such as “heaven-bound” for sapphires or “love” for red jasper. An affordable alternative to a sapphire necklace would be to have handcrafted bridal jewelry created using blue Swarovski crystals (or deep red crystals as an alternative to red jasper). Medieval gowns can handle very elaborate jewelry, so treat yourself to something truly special.

Flowers are another way to bring your theme to life. Brides in Medieval times often carried bouquets of herbs for fertility and good luck. Orange blossoms were another customary choice. You could also select flowers in the rich red tones used for the gowns. What about the appropriately named “Dragon’s lore” lily, which is deep burgundy with a golden center? Bouquets and flower arrangements should be flowing, rather than perfectly round. Another thing that should flow is the bride’s hair. For a very romantic effect, intertwine a crown of flowers with softly flowing wavy hair.

The food is the heart of any wedding reception. Typical Medieval wedding feasts included hearty fare such as roast quail, venison, cheese, fruit, and oysters. Apparently, they were not big on vegetables, but serve a few anyway to suit modern palates. And of course, no Medieval celebration would be complete without mulled wine, mead, beer, and cider.

To really have fun with a Medieval themed wedding, you can include some of the popular entertainment of the era, like jugglers, magicians, and dancing in the round. The dancing was a very important part of the wedding festivities, because it offered a chance for single men and women to meet. Then, as today, weddings were a great place to meet your future spouse, because love is in the air.

Hosting a Medieval wedding is a way to make your wedding creative and enchanted. The more you go all out with the theme, the more fun it will be for you and your guests. And guests, raise a glass to the bride and groom with this Old English wedding toast: “I wish thee health, I wish thee wealth, I wish thee gold in store, I wish thee heaven upon earth. What could I wish thee more?”

How To Plan A Destination Wedding

Weddings at exotic destinations, such as beaches or tourist sites, are truly in fashion. Many couples prefer organizing their wedding somewhere special, instead of at home, because it’s more memorable, no tradition required or they simply don’t want to be forced to invite the whole town. Whatever your reason for choosing this beautiful peninsula, here is some advice you should keep in mind when planning a great unforgettable and successful event.

First, together decide the ideal place for celebrating such an important event and imagine the type of wedding and celebration you would like to offer your guests. Formal and elegant or simple and relaxed? Are you willing to get married anywhere? What type of wedding do you want? How many guests are you planning to invite? Will you be capable of organizing the wedding long distance? Define the weddings date with much time in advance because a destination wedding implies, for the couple as much as for the guests, to carry out a series of purchases and reservations. It’s also important to decide how many people you’ll invite to the wedding, in order to define the event’s budget and thus plan how much you’ll be able to invest in every detail.

A wedding also implies a lot of work and attention, so it is highly recommended to hire a wedding planner expert who perfectly knows the place and offers you the wedding you’ve always dreamed of. The more information you offer your guests, there will be more likely to attend. Use the tools Internet offers by creating a website where you can keep your family and friends informed on all your wedding’s details, such as destination, place and date; the ideal means of transportation and the promotions on airlines and hotels for the group; also inform them on the need for passport and/or visa, the weather forecast, the tourism sites and the children activities. The more specific the information you provide, the more interested they’ll be in traveling for sharing with you such a special night. Some hotels at tourism sites have babysitting services. Ask about what they can offer you regarding events for the kids to keep them entertained while their parents enjoy your big event.

If you dream about celebrating the most important day of your life at a tropical paradise, Mexico is one of your best options for making it come true with amazing places like, Cancun, Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen, Isla Mujeres and Tulum. Right there you can hire professional wedding planners with the objective to put together the magical wedding you desire, besides, they are specialized in using materials and products that are manufactured or grown within the region and recycling is one of their priorities to preserve the environment.

What could be more romantic than the intimacy, beauty and comfort of a luxury villa for celebrating your great event? With options in private properties with special traits, heavenly landscapes and all amenities, including a special chef! You’ll find the ideal place for your dreamed wedding. Pamper your guests at a private paradise!

Making hotel reservations in accordance to your guests’ arrivals and departures for large groups tends to be very complicated when you’re not at your chosen destination. Try to be in contact with an expert in order to receive useful advices on reservations for a great variety of hotels in Cancun, Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Isla Mujeres for making sure your guests will always be treated with the utmost care.

Few events in life will create memories as everlasting as your wedding. All your dreams and loved ones will come together in that one special day. From the grandest galas to the most intimate affairs, try to reflect your unique style and desires in every detail.
