Personalized Wedding Supplies and Accessories For Any Type of Wedding Theme

Weddings come in different themes, it could be formal or non-formal. Whatever your wedding theme may be, still you have to make meticulous preparations in all aspects of your wedding. From wardrobe and favors to wedding supplies and accessories, you have to consider choosing what fits your marriage theme. For formal weddings, bizarre party favors and accessories can be out of place while elegant and sophisticated items are too much for non-formal weddings. A choice of decors and accessories can make a big difference to your celebration, therefore you don’t want to be messed up with inappropriate items which you mistakenly pick.

Today’s trend of wedding accessories, one popular option are personalized wedding supplies and favors like cake stopper, invitation, place card holder and favors like coaster, picture frames and albums, favor boxes and the like. Whether you have a beach themed or traditional wedding, personalized gifts and favors are always best to thank your participants and attendees.

For your participants who play a very important role like bridesmaids, maid of honor, groomsmen, best man, flower girls, ring bearer and others are always given a thank you gift. Many brides and grooms today opt for personalized gifts for their participants because these gifts do not only possess beauty but also they convey special thoughts and sentiments from the couple. What makes personalized gifts special? These are simple items that are made customized and made special by adding some personal touch, like engraving or embroidering receiver’s name or initials on the items, or perhaps a personal message to show deep gratitude and sentiment.

You may consider giving an Engravable Suzie Heart Bracelet that can make an adorable personalized gift for your bridesmaids and maid of honor. This is a sterling silver heart bracelet which can be personalized by engraving your girl’s name on it. It’s also a great gift for ladies during your bridal shower party. Or perhaps a Elegant Engravable Round Compact with soft tones of pink and ivory with dazzling accents of crystals and beads. The back portion of this compact mirror can be engraved with your girls’ name or initials, or it could either be a personal message from the wedded couple.

For male participants like groomsmen and the best man, you may consider a Personalized Round Silver Cufflinks that can make a perfect gift to accentuate the formal wedding outfit of your gentlemen. These cufflinks can polish a white or classic black tie tuxedo and can be worn either by the groom, best man or groomsmen, made personalized by engraving each pair of cufflinks with their initials. Or you may try a Personalized Sports Duffle Bag that your gentlemen can carry on the way to the gym. This is an excellent best man or groomsmen gift for active athletes in your wedding party.

For wedding souvenirs, you could also give memorable wedding favors like personalized photo gifts, personalized edible favors, place card holders, candles, favor boxes and the like. These wedding supplies can be purchased at your local bridal stores or online bridal shops where different personalized choices await you!

Inexpensive Destination Weddings

Destination weddings are becoming increasingly popular these days. More and more couples are turning their wedding day into a weekend event with lots of added activities for all of their guests such as picnics and site seeing adventures. However, the cost of a destination wedding puts it out of reach for many people. Part of the added cost is airfare and hotel accommodations.

Fortunately, there are lots of alternative locations close to home that can turn a standard wedding into a wonderful destination weekend. You just need to do a bit of homework.  There are several states in the U.S. that offer just about anything you could want in a destination wedding package for far less money.

What to Look for in Local Destination Weddings

Look for states that feature of a variety of popular activities in a range of seasons. This gives you a broad assortment of activities to choose from. If you want a picture-perfect Christmas wedding, complete with snowy backgrounds, a northern state will be your best bet. If you’ve always wanted a beach wedding, don’t limit yourself to the opposite coasts.  The Great Lakes region has thousands of miles of gorgeous, sandy beaches that are ideal for weddings with a tropical feel.

If you prefer a destination wedding with a truly unforgettable reception, states like Michigan are filled with resorts, banquet halls and restored mansion houses that are lovely.  You can do a Google search and quickly find beautiful cottages, chapels and even castles that will provide plenty of room, lots of photo opportunities and an elegant, romantic atmosphere.

Keep in mind that you don’t have to do everything in one spot. Give yourself permission to find the ideal wedding or reception location. Next look for activities that are within a reasonable driving distance for the day before or after your actual celebration. For instance, if you choose a gorgeous old-world style castle for the reception such as Castle Farms in Michigan, you’ll discover that the local town of Charlevoix is filled with antique stores, fine restaurants, award-winning golf courses, art galleries and boat rentals for an enjoyable afternoon on the lake.  The city even offers a total of four beaches, two each on Lake Charlevoix and Lake Michigan. Bed and breakfasts in the surrounding area mean you can accommodate all of your guests in comfort and style.

Ask About Special Rates for Destination Weddings

Many destination wedding locations offer special prices if you bundle your services. For instance, you may get a ten to twenty percent discount if you choose use the caterer or florist they recommend.  You’ll save money and get great service this way. If a reception hall suggests a particular caterer, you can be sure it’s because they’ve proven to be a hit with past wedding customers and are a pleasure to work with.

You may also be able to save a significant amount of money on décor if you choose a location that has plenty of charm and style on its own.  A castle-themed Great Hall or Victorian bed and breakfast are already beautiful and romantic so you won’t have to spend a lot to “dress them up” for the wedding or reception. Also ask each location coordinator what is included in the price of the reception.  Some places include thoughtful touches like the linens and twinkle lights for atmosphere in the cost of the reception, while others may charge extra for these.  Be sure to ask so that you aren’t surprised down the road by lots of add-on costs.

By following the above guidelines you’ll be sure to find several lovely locations for destination weddings that will melt your heart without breaking your budget.

Favorite Wedding Themes?

I am working on new ideas for my wedding blog – http://whitelacewedding.com – and I would like to know what you think the best wedding themes are? I am also looking for new theme ideas – as long as they are elegant and classy.
Lizabug – very good question. The truth is, every wedding has a “theme” of some sort. Think back to every wedding you can think of – what did their wedding decor center around? Was it a particular flower they used repeatedly in the decor? The most common theme for a wedding is the color – which is why most weddings have a specific color theme through-out. Today, many brides are choosing to go beyond color and flowers for a more unique theme – and theme weddings CAN be tacky – but they can also be VERY elegant IF done right.

Ordained Minister Brings Vegas Flair to Themed Weddings in Arizona

What happens in Vegas doesn’t stay in Vegas anymore – at least not when it comes to the Vegas-style weddings officiated by Reverend Duane Williams through A Classic Wedding Legacy. After more than two decades of performing weddings in Nevada, this ordained Minister is now a Phoenix wedding Pastor and wedding planner bringing Vegas flair to themed Arizona weddings ranging from Western and Hawaiian, to Pirates and King Arthur’s Court.

“I performed weddings in every venue imaginable,” says Pastor Duane of his time in Vegas, including Red Rock National Park, the Grand Canyon, Harley Davidson Café, Madam Tussauds Wax Museum and “Star Trek” aboard the Enterprise. “I even performed the worlds’ first ‘Hot Tub’ wedding in a limousine which was featured in the National Enquirer.” Now this Arizona wedding Pastor is bringing the same sense of adventure and playfulness to the Phoenix wedding scene.

It’s here in Arizona that Pastor Duane opened A Classic Wedding Legacy, through which he offers themed wedding packages that include:

    * Traditional. Enter the bonds and unity of marriage in traditional tux and gown with “We are assembled here today in the presence of God and this company of witnesses now in attendance to celebrate the joining together of this man and this woman…”

    * Liturgical. In traditional tux and gown, have a Catholic, Orthodox or Historic Church wedding with “In the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Ghost… Let us pray…”

    * Western. Kick up your boots in Western attire to “Yee Haw! We are gathered here today to join this Cowgirl and this Cowboy to be wedded partners as they mosey down the love trail of matrimony…”

    * Hawaiian. In leis, sarongs and Hawaiian shirts, say Aloha to your wedding day with “Now that we are one, clouds won’t hide the sun, as blue skies of Hawaii smile on this our wedding day…”

    * King Arthur’s Court. In capes and crowns, give yourself the royal treatment “All hail Milord and Milady! Your romance is true, and your love is legendary in this land of Camelot…”

    * Harley Davidson. Kick-start your Harley (and your heart) with “We are here today to gas you up, get your motors runnin’, and put you in high gear so you can ride off into the sunset together as husband and wife…”

    * Pirates. Walk the plank together into uncharted waters with “ARRGH!!!   Ahoy Mateys, all hands on deck to eye this Buccaneer take this Lass to plunge into wedded bliss! Shiver me timbers mates, thee shall be wed this wedding day or me name is not Captain John Bligh!

    * Halloween. Pick your own costume theme for the bridal party with customized marriage ceremony words and vows to match.

As for location of your themed Arizona wedding, that’s completely up to you, though as your ordained Minister and wedding planner Pastor Duane can certainly help. He offers up his own meticulously landscaped backyard setting for up to 40 people, or he’ll come to you and perform your Phoenix wedding in a chapel, resort, hotel, residence, boat, hot air balloon or wherever your creative inspiration tells you to go. And no matter where that might be, this unique Arizona wedding Pastor is sure to show up in officiating attire to match your theme.

Yet as much fun and originality as Pastor Duane brings to every ceremony, it’s always in conjunction with a heartfelt passion for preserving the integrity of the bride and groom’s special day. He’s equally determined to make this kind of unique wedding experience accessible to anyone. “The best value we found anywhere,” said one bride. “Finally, someone that’s real,” said another.”

“Even though they are conducted millions of times around the world, your wedding event is a one time extraordinary happening in your world,” says Pastor Duane. “It is to your world that I am open for your invitation to participate in such an intimate and life changing affair.”

A Beginner’s Guide to Caribbean Destination Weddings

Many a happy couple dream of tying the knot in a far-away Caribbean destination; hence the reason for the term “Caribbean destination wedding” in the first place. Just a decade or so ago, the practice of transporting an entire wedding to a location other than the local church was unheard of; but in today’s society of bigger and better, you can’t go wrong with such an exotic wedding day.

Planning any wedding can be a monumental task, let alone planning a wedding on a Caribbean island. However, with a little research and a lot of organizing, the bride and groom can choose from a multitude of locations where the sand will be warm under their feet and the ocean breeze will caress their first kiss as husband and wife.

One of the first things to know about Caribbean destination weddings is that there are multiple locations to choose from. The Caribbean consists of over a dozen islands surrounding the Caribbean Sea. Choices for wedding locations abound with these numbers. There is the island of Jamaica, which is a popular choice. There is also the Bahamas, Puerto Rico and The Cayman Islands.

With so many choices, what might you want to consider when planning a Caribbean destination wedding?

Work with professionals. Especially because your destination is far from home, working with a professional coordinator is an essential part of your wedding going off without a hitch. Many Caribbean destination weddings are planned through knowledgeable coordinators associated with major resorts. It takes only a bit of homework to find one you trust. Send invites early. Because of the travel involved, guests will need to take some time away from work, home and family responsibilities to attend your nuptials. In order to ensure you’ve given enough time for your guests to plan, sending out a save the date card is recommended. Typical invitations go out 4 to 6 weeks before the event; therefore, save the dates should go out well before then. Consider the climate. If you are planning a Caribbean destination wedding, it is wise to know the climate during the time of year, and time of day, you plan to wed. In some areas, the sun can beat down quite hot; you wouldn’t want to be stuck without some shade for you and your guests if you plan a daytime wedding. Decide what you will pay for. Oftentimes, guests of a Caribbean destination wedding will cover their own travel fares. However, it is a nice gesture on your part to make arrangements in terms of accommodations and flights to the extent of finding good packages. Work with a hotel in your Caribbean location to set aside special rates for your guests, and include that information in your invitations. Guests will appreciate it. Make sure you know the marriage laws of the island you will be married on. This is very important, as you don’t want to go through all that planning just to find out our marriage isn’t legal. Working through a coordinator, you will likely be guided through the process well, but knowing that all islands do not have the same marriage laws will prompt you to be aware and to ask questions on this topic.

A Caribbean destination wedding can be an affair you will remember forever. Getting through red tape is a cinch when you are prepared with the right questions and carry the right tools. Enjoy!
